tooth fixation

I find that boredom, pain, and codeine are great motivators for creation. This year I developped a small obsession with book-making. I like making tiny little books and writing & doodling down all my passing thoughts. The past few days of healing have been spent watching lots of TV and doodling in the new little book I made.

Lately I have been all about the 12-15 hour days in the studios. It's good to be so busy you can't think about anything. Alternating between the darkroom, the woodshop and the painting studios, lil' Wayne keeping me company. Carter III is so good, I totally remember why I professed my undying love to Weezy F Baby.

Also, I finally saw Notorious this past Sunday. I'm still not sure how I feel about it! The viewing certainly made me realize you have to pick your movie-watching buddies carefully. Watching a movie about a gangster rapper should probably not be watched with a bunch of white boys with bad cinema etiquette, who don't actually like gangster rap. Also, casting for cultural icons is tough shit!!! Finding someone who looks nearly as beautiful as Tupac is pretty hard to do.

March is a fucking dirty tease. She's all like, oooh, yeah, you like that huh? It's getting nice and warm, huh, yeah you like that? That sunshine is nice, huh? Ohhhh yeahhhhhh WELL NOW IMMA SNOW ON YOU! And you are like OMGGGGGGGGGGGG KILLLLLLLLL ME!!!!!!!!!!

I had a sweet weekend! And Sunday was the Best Day Ever in a long damn while. I walked down De Mainsonneuve sippin' on Colt black cherry cola, BLT to-go from Moe's in one hand, three legged chair in the other. Sun shinnin', birds chirpin'! It was great! And the BLT was fucking delicious! Then I went home and took an awesomely long bike ride for the first time since December! And today? DEATH, DESTRUCTION! SNOW!!!! I hate March.
